On September 26, 2024, 3M company announced the sale of the formulation and trademarks for LeadCheck swabs. Production and sale of these market-leading swabs for RRP projects was suspended in September of 2023. The purchaser, Luxfer Magtech, made a presentation of their plans to bring LeadCheck back to market during EIA’s Fall Technical Conference on October 4, 2024. On October 31, 2024, EIA introduced the Luxfer Magtech team to the team at HUD’s Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes.
